• Stored Bill Records: We store the extracted text data (the JSON representation of your bills) in our secure MongoDB database so you can access your billing history at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We strictly use your data to provide and improve the core functionality of The Bill Mate:

• To authenticate your identity and secure your personal dashboard.
• To process document images using artificial intelligence for the sole purpose of extracting your structured data.
• To display, organize, and calculate metrics regarding your financial history.

3. Data Processing and AI

The Bill Mate leverages advanced multimodal AI (SambaNova AI) to extract text from your uploaded images. We do not use your personal financial data to train public AI models. Image processing is strictly transactional—once the text is extracted and returned to your dashboard, the raw image is not permanently retained on our servers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your structured bill data is securely hosted on MongoDB Atlas, adhering to enterprise-grade encryption both in transit and at rest. Your authentication credentials and sessions are securely managed by Google Firebase. Our backend infrastructure enforce strict data isolation—meaning your records are fundamentally inaccessible to any other user.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data. We share data only with essential infrastructure providers required to operate the service (e.g., Google Firebase for authentication, MongoDB for database hosting, and SambaNova for AI inference).
